Indian Politics: Part and Schedule of the Indian Constitution for WBCS , SSC, Railways and Defense Examinations
India has the longest constitution in the world with 448 articles, 25 sections and 12 schedules. The Constitution of India is the framework that sets out the boundaries of codes, procedures, rights, duties, rules and regulations to be followed and adopted by citizens and the government. BR Ambedkar was the chief architect and known as the "Father of the Indian Constitution". The Constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 and came into force on 26 January 1950 which is celebrated as Republic Day. At startup, it had 395 articles in 22 sections and 8 schedules. To date, 104 amendments have been made to the constitution.
